Blago's Top 10 Career Options ...

Now that former Illinois Governor Rod "Blago" Blagojevich has unwillingly departed from public life into the world of the unemployed, (unless jailed), he will soon be embarking on the dubious journey of seeking some type of work in the private sector .. consequently, this has led to his possibly being tested for proper employment placement in order to create a personalized strategy directed at finding a fulfilling and financially rewarding career.

Below are my top 10 recommendations as to careers befitting of "Hot Rod's" previous employment record and experience:

10. Car salesman for Zastava Yugo - Get your Yugo
from Blago! ...
9. Traveling encyclopedia salesman ...
8. Telemarketer for Contact America ...
7. Auctioneer ...
6. Model for Barbers Only Magazine ...
5. Spokesman for Rogaine ...
4. Phone counselor for Liars Anonymous ...
3. Author a book entitled "Fraud and Corruption For Dummies!" ...
2. Circus clown ...
1. And my number one recommendation is ... "Inmate!"

Thank God I'm a "home grown" country boy!

It's 11:30 in the morning and I'm on my first cup of coffee, no tomfoolery!

Here's some oats for the Ole Jackass' Stall ... something for you to chew on, methinks ...

Carol was just reading something interesting written by Spanish literature Professor Emeritus, University of Texas - Pan American, Lino Garcia ... applauding the efforts of the Colonial Spanish government following the little uprising that evidently "ended" with the battle of the Alamo.

He notes that the government awarded large land grants to northerners to settle in Texas, but with certain conditions ... learn Spanish, become Catholic, and pledge allegiance to Mexican authority.

100 years ago, Teddy Roosevelt advocated similar requirements for immigrants coming into the United States.

How unfair!!

Thank goodness we have the ACLU to protect us from such nonsense today ... hopefully, they will take up the good fight and champion the cause for our French, German, Italian and Chinese immigrants so that our government is required to deal with them in their native languages ... and they aren't required to learn English or pledge allegiance!

It's only fair ... if we aren't so required, why should they?!
